We met Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje and presented our work. We sensitised her of the key threats to the Jaisalmer Fort, issues related to tourism infrastructure and shared our vision to make Jaisalmer fort an experiential heritage centre.
Since then, the Chief Minister’s office have supported ILJ to become part of the institutional framework that would take key decisions on all future developments at the Jaisalmer Fort.
This progressive step ahead will help us bring forward the voices of all stakeholders, including the residents of the Fort to the government resulting in creating inclusive and sustainable strategies of development.
