Himanshu Vyas is chief photographer and columnist with Hindustan Times, Jaipur since September 2000. He also teaches photography as visual literature and a philosophy of seeing at colleges and workshops and his chapters on photojournalism are taught at Master’s courses. His photographs have won competitions nationally and internationally and exhibited along with his documentaries and calligraphic art in India, Karachi, and Australia. While Himanshu’s photographs have also been published in Le Monde, The Guardian, BBC, India Today etc. his haiku poems have been published in world’s preeminent journals. An acclaimed art curator, he designs music for theater.
Dr. Tabeenah Anjum Qureshi is a senior journalist and an internationally acclaimed visual storyteller.With a decade of experience in print & multimedia journalism her reportage and lucid opinions have appeared in Deccan Herald, DNA newspaper, Rajasthan Patrika, The Caravan, News 18 and BBC. She presently writes for the Outlook magazine. Her photographic art works have been exhibited in India, Nepal and South Australia.
The recipient of the National Award in Photography (2015) conferred by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, she is also the recipient of Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II Award (2017) for excellence in photography. She teaches journalism and mass communication in the affiliated college of University of Rajasthan. A visiting faculty with Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC, New Delhi & Dhenkenal) and Film & Television Institute of India, Pune. She is the co-course director of visual storytelling course for FTII and has taught at University of South Australia.
